Abstract
Supplementary materials are available to assist instructors with their presentations and general course management. 1. An Instructor's Manual/Test Item File prepared by Eric Nelson, Ohio Northern University, provides examples of lecture/reading schedules for courses with various emphases. In addition, each chapter contains a detailed outline, purpose, objectives, key terms, summary, sources for audiovisual materials and computer software, and approximately 50 multiple-choice test questions. 2. A Student Study Guide, prepared by Jay M. Templin, contains chapter summaries, outlines, key terms with phonetics, pretest assessment questions, various learning activities, and mastery tests. 3. A set of 100 full-color acetate tran.sparencies and 1 50 transparency masters are available and may be used to supplement classroom lectures. 4. General Zoology Laboratory Manual, third edition, by Stephen A. Miller, is an excellent corollary to the text and incorporates many of the same learning aids. This edition offers improved illustrations and laboratory exercises that emphasize animal adaptations and ecology. A Laboratory Resource Guide is also available and contains additional information about materials and procedures, and the answers to lab exercises. 5. The Customized Laboratory Manual. Each lab manual exercise is also available individually as offprints, so students need buy only those exercises used in the labotatory. Contact your local sales representative for more details.
