| dc.description.abstract | In the context of rapidly developing border trade, businesses and traders face numerous significant financial risks. Identifying core risks and proposing solutions to mitigate financial losses in cross-border trade payments between Vietnam and China is a pressing and ongoing requirement. Typical risks include: fluctuations in the CNY/VND exchange rate, credit risk due to default by partners, trade fraud, and legal risks from the use of informal payment channels (cash, illegal money transfers). These risks directly cause capital losses and reduce business efficiency. To minimize losses, this paper proposes a comprehensive set of solutions. For businesses, priority should be given to shifting to formal payments through the commercial banking system, using derivative instruments to hedge against exchange rate risks, and thoroughly verifying partner information. For regulatory agencies, it is necessary to improve the legal framework for foreign exchange management, strengthen the linkages between the banking systems of the two countries, and promote the dissemination of legal knowledge to traders in border areas. | en_us |
