A Study of Cohesive Devices in English Job Interviews

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the application of cohesive devices in the English job interview process and specifically discuss how the linguistic means can be useful in improving the interviewees in the spoken English interview in terms of professional coherence, organization, and clarity. This study aims at investigating, through interview discourse analysis, the role that cohesion plays in spoken institutional communication.
