Vietnam - a “forthcoming dragon” and the “Middle income trap”

Abstract

Vietnam’s economic growth had a downward trend in the aftermath of 2008 global financial crisis in tandem with its internal weaknesses appearance. The country also deals with many challenges ahead especially the so-called “the middle income trap”. These lead to a requirement for a thorough reconstruction of the economy. By employing the qualitative, quantitative research tools and analysis, this paper focuses on analyzing the Vietnam’s GDP growth and the “middle income trap”.
