A study on the causes of difficulties in reading skill experienced by first-year English majors at Haiphong Private University and some suggested solutions

Abstract

The general aim of this study is to identify the major causes of difficulties in reading skill experienced by first-year English majors at Haiphong Private University. In addition, the study is expected to give some solutions for students to deal with their reading difficulties. To achieve these purposes, the study will focus on the following research questions: What are the causes of difficulties in reading skill experienced by first-year English majors at HPU? What are possible solutions to students’ reading difficulties?
