    Abstract
The tenth edition of this text continues and expands the emphasis on critical thinking, interpretation, and statistical literacy. Calculators and computers are very good at providing numerical results of statistical processes. However, numbers from a computer or calcultor display are meaningless unless the user knows how to interpret the results and if the statistical process is appropriate. This text helps students determine whether or not a statistical method or process is appropriate. It helps students understand what a statistic measures. It helps students interpret the results of a confidence interval, hypothesis test, or liner regression model.
