Factors affecting English speaking skill of the first year English majors and the ways how to improve at Hai Phong University of Management and Technology

Abstract

Most students find it difficult to learn speaking skill so I would like to find out the factors affecting English speaking skill of the first year English majors at Hai Phong University of Management and Technology. Due to such factors, many students have faced the obstacles in learning and practicing this skill in class, therefore the study would like to suggest the ways how to improve their speaking skill. These solutions also aim to help the students catch up with the speed of a normal conversation in the real life so that they can improve their communication competence.
