Modern embedded computing : designing connected, pervasive, media-rich systems
Abstract
This textbook is designed to form the basis of a semester-long laboratory-based undergraduate embedded design engineering course. The text is also suitable for similar courses offered in the context of continuing education. The primary audience is undergraduate engineering students in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and embedded system design. From a technical perspective, embedded systems programmers are the primary audience of the book. Secondary audiences include embedded platform designers and SoC/CPU architects. The chapter outline of the book, and the core content of each chapter, is primarily designed to meet the needs of embedded systems programmers, and therefore emphasize how to develop systems and application software for embedded computing systems.
