This paper will decode the upward trend of trade deficit with China in the period from 2000 to 2010 by using the updated, personal calculated figures set by Ministry of Industry and Trade, and GSO Vietnam. The interesting finding is that the more trade implemented the larger trade deficit Vietnam occupied with this neighbor country due to the Chinese economic factors and its FDI policies as well as the less competitive of Vietnam’s foreign trade structure and her inefficient governance. The methodologies taken in this research are using the qualitative, quantitative, descriptive research tools and analysis.en_US
