Making the Progressive Case: Towards a Stronger U.S. Economy

Abstract

This book has been written to help that rebuilding. The audit of Obama in power is the business of Chapter 1. The creation of powerful arguments in defense of a progressive economics is the business of Chapters 2–5, and the mapping of a way forward is the agenda for Chapter 6. Two appendices have been added to help refute the more complex of the conservative economic arguments now in play, both designed to be of use to those challenging more-informed conservative debaters. We have an administration to shape and an electorate to win back and we don’t have much time to do either. I simply hope that reading what follows will in some small measure strengthen your hand in this the most important political struggle of our lifetime.
