Abstract: | Data mining is one of the tool sets that has been enlisted to help make sense of the massive amount of data that has been collecting over the past few years. Most people associate its use with targeted marketing and government oversight. However, they can also provide scholars in the liberal arts with powerful tools to discover new insights and questions. In this talk, I will discuss some ways in which researchers have recently used data mining to uncover new knowledge in some diverse areas. |
