Abstract: | Many students think of science as learning vocabulary words, labeling pictures, and memorizing facts. Science is much more than that. Have you ever asked yourself questions about the world around you and wondered how or why they are happening? This is science. Science works best when we are curious and look for new ways to answer questions or solve problems. In order for you to experience science in its fullest sense you must take it beyond the classroom and include it in your everyday experiences. In order to make science meaningful, there are certain guidelines that can help us. Science is not limited to plants, animals, or dinosaurs but there are cross-cutting concepts woven throughout all scientific disciplines. |
